GSS Teaches You To Play: My Little Pony Collectible Card Game

Got a bunch of cards but don't know what to do with them? Want to play this game, but you're concerned about how to do so without spending a fortune? Just curious about what I've been doing with my life for the past year since I left OIM?

All of these questions and more will be answered in this video!

Also, ponies.

  1. I've been avoiding these, mainly because I don't have anyone to play with, but I'll give this a whirl, maybe you'll sway me.

  2. Of course you used that Maneia picture.... oh my past coming back to haunt me.

Whatever you want to do is fine with me. I'm significantly less involved in the blog now, just sort of do stuff whenever I can be bothered, so if you want an outlet to post things then that's perfectly fine, but I'm not on the tyrannical quest for blogging power that I once was so I'm not actively recruiting any more, but if people want to join I'm not turning them away either. I will say that the few times you've posted stuff lately has been cool, gave me a heart attack for a brief second though because I thought we had been hacked.

Yep, along with the "there's literally no one in South Carolina who is also collecting these so I'm just having imaginary card battles by myself" problem, I'm afraid of sinking way to much money into it. If I start collecting the cards I'd probably unconsciously start buying way too many booster packs... I'm not ready for that level of commitment or have the patience for your work arounds.

Wait you can only play with cards released within the last year? That's a thing? Why would I ever collect cards if a year from now I can't use them?

Ehh, part of why I'd get into a collectible card game would be the artwork, as in I want to collect more cards to see what they look like, with the MLP cards they all just look like show vectors.... that doesn't really set my world on fire. If it had it's own original artwork (and style not just the flash vectors like the show) then that would really incentives actually wanting the cards.

Hmm can't cover rules that haven't been established yet? Gotta do better!

Well know I now what this game actually is. I thought it was a battle game (like Yugioh) but it seems a lot more complicated than that. Looks like it could be fun though. Although I'll still probably steer clear of it (sad lonely Dusty).

The only trading cards I ever got into was a Yugioh Gameboy Color game, and back in the day I had a slew of Pokemon cards...... I'm not even kidding when I say I'd listen to you doing a video on Pokemon.
