Obsession Is Magic probably wouldn't be here if not for Pixelkitties. She was our first real follower and without her encouragement I would have more than likely thrown in the towel. She was here way back when it was just Galvin, her, and me, so she's pretty much seen the site progress from the utter mess it used to be, (back when we'd go days without a single post because I couldn't get to an internet connection) to the competent blog it is today. I'm talking about back when I was working on my "The Archive" dream. She was our very first Hall of Pony and probably one of the best. She's also advertised us more than once, and even drew a character from my fanfic, just because I was sad that my attempt at drawing had failed. And that ain't even all of it, but you get the point.
Now I may play the "I love Pixelkitties" card a lot, but that's because she has gone above and beyond anything I could have every dreamed when I decided to throw my lot into the cold, hateful, spiteful place that the internet more often than not loves to wallows in.
I've said it before and I'll say it again. Pixelkitties is not only an incredibly talented person, she also has a heart of gold. And if that ain't a quality worth lovin' then I don't know what is. While I know I'll never really be your very special somepony, I can at least be your friend.
When things get dark, I'll think about all the people I've come too call friend, not just Pixelkitties, but Glavin, Eternocte, Chameleon, and Dromaeosaur25, and I'll know that as long as I know there are good people like you guys out there, then I can keep on going, even when life's troubles and woes drag me down, I'll still have you.
I know Valentines day is tomorrow, but I wanted to get this out now. Happy Valnetine's day everyone. You're all very special someponies to me.
Now that I've gotten the, Dusty gets all weird and sappy out of my system, I'll be sure to have plenty of "Then rape and hentai happened!" jokes tomorrow, cause I know that's the real reason y'all keep coming back. ;)
I don't think it's creepy at all, I'm glad to be friends with you too, even though we've only known each other for about a month (but hey, it's the Internet. That' like a year.)

ReplyDeleteTo say I'm touched isn't enough. Not NEARLY enough. You may not realize it, but you have given me so much too. When I was still barely out of fan-diapers, you were kind enough to feature my art, advertise my DA page, and just generally make me feel like a rock star even though I'm more like an Ukulele Folk Song Amateur. =)
So thank YOU for all you've done for me. Thanks for having faith in me, even when I've felt defeated or been disappointed in my own work. Thanks for simply being awesome and giving me a place on the web to enjoy cool new pony stuff AND cool non-pony stuff. And most of all, thank you for simply being my friend.
I really, really hope we can meet up and hang out sometime soon!
